Question about syncing read info

Hi,

I've been trying to add the read info from calibre companion to calibre and I've defined two column: a yes/no column and a date column.

I've got a book I've marked as read in calibre companion (and I see the mark) but when I connect to calibre that mark doesn't go there. I've even checked "mark book in calibre" for temporary mark, but it doesn't appear. I've not checked to send info only from calibre to calibre companion.

Is there something obvious I'm missing?

And is there any way to divide books in read/not read in the group drawer?

First, have you told CC about the columns? Go to Settings, Marking books read, Sync column for read and ensure that the lookup name there matches the one in calibre. Same for Sync column for read date if you are using that.

As for the grouping drawer, the "Read" group should be there. If it is not, go to CC's Grouping drawer settings, choose Select groups to show, and ensure that Read is selected.

If all of these are OK, and given that you are running CC in Spanish, there there might be some issue with translation where I used a translatable term where I should have used a fixed term. To test this, try switching CC to English and see if the problem(s) go away.

Ok, I'll try to make the tests on Sunday (I go away today till Sunday). I haven't checked the Group Settings (I have the previous column -I have changed the column today).

Well, I come back with my head down (as expected). I think I didn't check it well or there was some glitch, as I've just changed it, but it works now, thank you very much.

No problem.

Question: is your grouping drawer showing English labels? If so, you can make them chanee to Spanish by going to Settings, Grouping drawer, choose custom columns to make groups, and pressing OK. I don't think you need to change anything.
