				Pocketbook has my $242, but they won't ship my InkPad
			 
			
			Has anyone had trouble buying from Pocketbook France? I ordered an Inkpad in the beginning of September from Pocketbook's French subsidiary. After numerous delays, it was supposed to have shipped last week. So far as I can tell, it has not. I would like to frame that sentence in more definite terms but unfortunately all I know now is that it hasn't shipped, and that the French sub is no longer responding to my emails. I figure at this point I should kiss the $242 goodbye, and since I won't be getting anything else out of this I decided to at least post a warning to everyone else. P.S. Does anyone have a contact email for Pocketbook France? Hopefully, one where they will actually respond? |

			I tried to put in an order yesterday, but it always failed when transferring from PayPal back to the French site.  As far as I can tell, no order was placed.  From another thread, it looks like they are out of stock.  I suspect that all will be back to normal when they get more stock in.

They say on the site: "Do not hesitate to order, we already know we will be receiving only limited number of devices - not enough for everybody. If you order first, you might receive it now." So perhaps there is some problem limiting the number of devices shipped. I am not defending them! Just trying to speculate what might be the cause of their silence. | ||

			They should have explained the situation to you. That is inexcusable.  This is what bothers me about ordering one of the e-readers being produced in Europe / Russia / Asia. What if it doesn't work? What if they just don't send it? And they ain't cheap. |

			I ordered an InkPad 840 from http://boutique.pocketbook.fr/index....duct&id_lang=3 on 25 October. The auto email reply (after the order and payment confirmation came back as "out of stock" and that there would be a "slight delay" in shipping. Email address: info@pocketbook.fr My credit card has been charged. Have heard nothing since. My order on their website says "Produit(s) indisponibles" ie. "Product (s) unavailable".
