As far as I know, one foolproof way to get to the US contest (if you're in the US) is to go to Kobo's main page and scroll down almost all the way to the bottom. It's a long way, but it'll take you to the right place.

Weird stuff going on this morning.

I'd missed a day, apparently, and when I went to play it I got the 'Correct' chime four times, with four reports of getting a coupon. All different percentages. I then got the four coupons in email.

Then answered today's question. Got another four 'Correct' chimes and another coupons in email. Eight coupons in one day, one email.

Any one else get this? I have to wonder how many of them will work, but don't really have much left that's couponable. I'd have to spend some time digging.

Poor codes or rather poor buying options are starting to push me elsewhere. a 35% brightens my day now (sad) but most books i want aren't discountable.

I want to be able to use a code on any book in the uk. The overheads for publishers re ebooks are small in comparison to regular printing and a few don't even proofread their scanned material from my reading experiences with kobo so far.

Cmon give a little!

Now that Simon & Schuster has signed an agreement with Amazon, it ain't gonna happen. Two books by OTHER publishers that I have been watching since agency ended went from 6.99 to 9.99 the day that deal was announced. Kobo isn't supposed to discount and now that they've plugged the holes, we are all so screwed.

ugh, rubbish news. Its going to force me to start side-loading and i dont want to. I cant afford to pay full whack for books that are already overpriced. That was a good spot on the pricing, do you pay tax on ebooks in the states Maria?

I think the publishers are screwed. I'm hardly buying books anymore from Kobo now that the codes don't work for me. How can they charge 9 or 10 euros for books from the eighties with typos (Barry Maitland series for example)? I like to read the old detectives but I'm not buying much anymore.

Here are some 30% and 35% coupons. I've played on about a dozen different email addresses and the best I've done is one 55% coupon. I'm going to the page with a script on the last day and do a few dozen more entries and see if I can do any better (almost everything I read couponable).

Does anyone know what happens if you win an ereader with an invalid email address entry?

Some books, yes. Soon all of them because they are re-declaring Amazon as having a facility here. But right now only if the publisher has a presence in Texas.

I watch the prices partly for buying and partly for posting certain books on the blog (If I know there are certain fans of a series, I watch for prices to go down). BOTH of those books have held their price for at least 2 years. I check almost daily. The day the news came out? Bam! There were a few other books I hadn't tracked as closely, but I think it pushed prices up on a few more that I didn't have in my daily watch.
