Kindle Voyage case options

On my Voyage the blue tinted area of the screen is very clear, but the blue is rather vivid. Up at the top of the screen where it turns more yellow, it is cloudy/shadowy, but the text is still sharp even there. The best way I can describe the top 1/3 of the screen is to say it looks like a giant, mostly transparent, smudge on the glass. It isn't on the glass though, it is just a mild shadow on the screen.

LOL! I totally missed BrentB's post and thought you were asking about the blue tint to the Voyage screens. Oops. As the character on SNL in the 1970s always said, "Neverrrrrrr mind!"

ACcase shipped on 10/24/14, based on amazon email.

I still want to see and touch both Origami cases, but Best Buys here are clueless, they have a swarm of helpless school-age employees.

Went to 2 stores friday, online stock shows cases, but none on shelves and employees never heard of the Voyage. ��

My ACcase also shipped, right after I got the Origami at Best Buy.

I received notice that my Acase shipped today. Originally it was to ship Nov 10 for a Nov 12 arrival... which should have coincided with a Nov 12 arrival of my Voyage. The shipping notice I got now says arrival by Dec 22!

I hear you! The BB I went to had a lot of young people in blue shirts wondering around aimlessly, but none were of any help. They had the Kindle display area buried inside (surrounded by) the tablets and smartphones. It was like a maze to navigate through it and find anything. In the past you could look around and see signs indicating what was located where, but they don't have anything clearly marked now. I finally found the Origami cover. The BB I went to only had the synthetic model and they only had it in black, so I felt like I was buying from Henry Ford: "You can have it in any color you want as long as its black." I didn't even see the Kindles on display, but I think they were there somewhere mixed in with the tablets and smartphones. An over all bad shopping experience, except I did get a good case but without any useful input from the mindless zombies in blue.

I know! I had emailed them about arrival date, asking if it came by boat from China, they replied it would be air shipped.

And this the reason we buy from Amazon, not to save taxes but frustration.
Old techie here, still doing some part time programming, BB here has lost most tech and business customers while the one Micro Center store is mobbed daily.
Like the Apple stores they actually employ smart people and train them well.

Yep, much easier to have it delivered to my door by Amazon than have to mess around with no help inside a BB! We don't have any Micro Center stores in my area, just BB and Frys, and Frys is a 100 times worse than BB. Frys will have the same item in three different locations within their huge store, and all three locations will have a different price! They are so clueless and have no concept of organization or tracking their stock.

I teach software and am actually stunned by how clueless the BB bunch are. I've been doing my own PC repairs, upgrades, etc. since the first ones were being built. My roommate worked for a company that assembled them, so we had one as soon as they were available - ginormous single floppy and all. It was fascinating.

I have more common knowledge than most of the people there I talk to. They try to sound intelligent, and maybe are, but seem really lacking in the basic computer and product knowledge areas. Don't they train them on anything but the registers?

I'm looking for something very specific, and if I keep my Voyage, will post a request at that time in case (NPI) someone sees one. Conversely, if I see something fun in cases/covers come in then I'll post a link here.

I was soundly thrashed by the OP of a thread recently because it wasn't what he was looking for. I haven't seen an exclusionary thread for cases before, but more the type where everyone shares and talks, but he was really upset by anyone posting anything or discussing anything other than what he wanted. His prerogative, but it made me wonder.
