Thanks for all the reviews so far. After reading I decided to cancel my Voyage pre order. This would've been my 1st Kindle & it was a ooh look shiny, shiny must have purchase.
The previous Kindles, didn't make me want one when I saw them, but the pictures of the Voyage did. However, I don't need a new reader, I'm sticking with my non front lit Sony T3s.

The Voyage looks washed out in comparison to the PW2. The text of the Voyage looks less black then that of the PW2.

That was the first thing I compared when I got my Voyage. The Voyage has better contrast and clearer text. I double checked this morning by asking my wife (who does not use an ereader) her opinion. I didn't lead her I just asked what she thought when comparing the two. She said the same thing.

Thanks for the picture. Further proof that these things don't bother some people. That Voyage display would drive me NUTS!

I agree. I have looked at so many different pics of the voyage now and see the two toned screen on every single one. Such a shame. I'm sure some screens are better than others, but it's not something I want to live with, especially at that price point. What good are sharper, clearer fonts when the background is two toned? I'm very disappointed with Amazon once again. I hope I have better luck with the Kobo H20.

I hope you do too. You are way overdue for a great reader!

I hope my Voyage is a keeper. I hope to try it outside tomorrow, and in a dim lit room tonight.

I should add that brightness was at max. Flaws are not noticeable at moderate and low setting.

Jon, you never owned a kindle. You have been complaining for years that you hate them because they won't handle epubs. This was obviously not going to happen with the Voyage.

The text is better on the Voyage but the upper left of the Voyage looks pinkish.
