If I get a case at all it'll probably be the Poetic. I've always liked those on other devices. I may stick to a homemade sleeve though. Old jeans cut up and sewn up work great. |

The folding cover is like the Moshi VersaCover for the iPad -an interesting idea, but I wonder how having it flap Koren like that affects the balance of the Voyage.
Also, Nate at The Digital Reader posted his review, and I'm thinking that my fears about the pressure sensitive bezels are correct after all. If it's still not instinctive and effortless after a few days... Well, at least Amazon isn't likely to tell people that 'you're holding it wrong' |

The good news is that a dozen other reviews have said that the buttons are great so there is reason to hope for the best.

I like to hold my readers one-handed, and while the old K3 had perfectly good page turn buttons which responded well to any pressure, the Voyage seems a big more finicky. That's NOT what I was hoping for. Until I can actually handle one, I'm not inclined to spend the extra $80 over a good PW just for the screen. |

You've read a bunch or reviews and gotten the opposite impression of the device (except for the money part). You make me think of that line from the Abyss: Lindsey Brigman: We all see what we want to see. Coffey looks and he sees Russians. He sees hate and fear. You have to look with better eyes than that. You were concerned about the buttons, so that's what you pick up. I am excited for them, so that's what I see. Mine is arriving tomorrow, so I'll know for sure then. Fortunately, Amazon is very nice about the return policy, so I am really only taking a $5 risk. |

Marathon reading sessions on holidays is almost impossible without a stand up case. I wouldn't have ordered the Voyage if it didn't have page turn "buttons", still happy with my K3 which my daughter will inherit. Peter ![]() |

That grip isn't one I'd consider natural - it's like he's reading while resting the Voyage on the table and using his fingers to prop it up like a stand. I MIGHT hold my tablet the same way in my lap if I'm seated, but not when I'm reading a 6" ereader (the screen is too small to be read from there) .
Does he get enough leverage to press the buttons while holding it one handed as quite a few readers do? Not with that grip, he won't. As I said before, the way the mainstream reviews treat it as a tablet when reviewing makes them less useful. |

I do not think he is resting the Voyage on the table there. The hand which is holding the Voyage probably, but the Voyage itself? Doubtful.
Personally I was holding my Kindle Keyboard with a very similar grip. Take any rectangular flat sturdy item, let the lower left corner rest in the palm of your hand, and use 4 fingers to support the weight. Works just as fine with an 150g smartphone as with a 500g book without having to support it on a surface. The thumb is free and able to assert a lot of pressure. There is no problem with leverage at all. The only problem with this grip is that it is not the most secure grip. If someone bumps into your hand chances are high that you will let the Kindle fly, so I wouldn't recommend it on a public transport. And it does not work well if the Kindle is in a cover. But for using a naked Kindle in your home that grip is totally fine and absolutely natural. Last edited by Psykhe; 10-21-2014 at 11:01 AM. |

Picked mine up from best buy. They had 5 in stock. I like buttons on my kindle, so was excited that I might finally be getting a screen with both light & buttons. My initial thoughts on pagepress:
1) Even on the lowest settings, requires a decent amount of pressure - more than I press without thinking about it. 2) Unlike the K5NT, you can not press the buttons by squeezing the sides, only from above, which means you cannot hold it from around the back with thumb on one side and fingers on the other and turn the page in any comfortable way. Single handed use pretty much requires putting the corner of the device in your palm which is not nearly as comfortable for me or as strong a grip. Unlikely I will keep the device though I will give it a few days. |
