Totally agree with your husband, Josie. Best to do a side by side comparison in person, I think. Quote:

The Belkin case which is one of the supported cases is the closest to the Paperwhite case I could find in the initial set. It's cheaper and lighter than the origami. I just hope it turns up when the Voyage does!

I find it interesting that so many of the reviews that I've read pan the idea of propping up your reader. Am I the only one who reads while eating and would love to prop up my reader? I'm constantly propping my PW up on my sunglasses or whatever other thing I can find on the table. That said, the origami cover looks like an atrocious mess. |

Don't get me wrong, I love the standard paperwhite case like most everyone else... but one of the things that bugs me about it is how difficult it is to remove the kindle from it.. Who cares if the device is thinner/lighter if it's basically glued in to a heavy / thick case? Defeats the purpose for me. So one thing that I love about the new origami case is how easy it appears to be to take the kindle out. I'd rather hold the device by itself when I'm reading, unless I'm sitting at a table (i.e. eating lunch) and need to prop it up with the case. Visually I'm not sure how I feel about the origami case... but I love that it seems easier to remove the kindle and I also really like being able to prop the kindle up. I used to have a case like that for my DX and used it all the time. |

At home I have things to prop on and I don't use a case, only a sleeve. In restaurants I use condiment bottles or anything handy. I've yet to find something I want to carry around in my purse other than my normal stuff and my PW1. I do have a wonderful case for my K3 that is brushed metal - like a tank - and also self props. I wish they'd make more. Never found one for my PW. |

A few years ago, I bought a folding stand for my mobile for a few £, it also happily holds the PW (in a not-so-light) Oberon cover The thing hardly weights anything, is tiny when folded, the angle is adjustable and it has rubber pads underneath so that it doesn't skid. I love that little stand! |

I feel more comfortable with a case that is also a prop and the metal one is the only case I ever really liked for propping.

Anyone have their Voyage ship yet? I cannot remember if they were supposed to ship on the 21st or be delivered on the 21st. Mine isn't due until the 28th, so I look forward to the first impressions.

This is exactly why I purchased the Amazon case. Because it is is easy to take out of, but still usable when you don't want to take it out.

I prefer a book style cover and I love my Amazon PW cover, but... I guess it seems like due to the page buttons it might actually be a good case and fit better with that particular design. I do also like that it's an easy off, easy on case too. I guess I'll see how it goes. I'm not due to receive it until Dec 3rd so I'll be waiting to hear what others thing of their smashed predator face case first. haha.
