Calibre Format conversions

until about a month ago I was able to convert many document formats using the Calibre functionality. Now whenever I try and get error stating the format was unsupported with the following details which change slightly dependent upon the file type requested. I have tried looking in the FAQ and other postings but cannot find anything which duplicates my issue. Any help wou;d be appreciated.
Spoiler:

Thanks
Paul

Well, this is of course a question for the Calibre forum. However, you could try updating to the latest version and see what happens...

I wonder.... Are you using any of Alf's tools, and if so, have you updated them to the calibre 2.x compatible versions?

It wouldn't make a difference. The tools are and have always been 2.x-compatible, except for the configuration dialog. An old version of the plugin will continue to DeDRM books under 2.x, but you will be unable to import new keys (except in a text editor with care and JSON knowledge).
Books that fail under the old DeDRM will simply not be DeDRMed and fail conversion with the usual DRMError. The only failure fixed by the new tools is the ability to add keys via the configuration dialog (which isn't necessary for ADE which auto-adds new keys behind the scene).
