What is Harry's avatar anyway?

I have always wondered but felt too intimidated to ask. However, since you brought it up…

Found this review/preview that's in German. Has some closeup photos and a video demonstration.

So you know what a Tardis is, but don't know what a Dalek is? Hmm, that is a conundrum!

The English translation isn't bad. But I wish he'd used a tripod when videoing the demonstration.

No I had no idea what a Tardis was either, but I looked that up.

Not that it helped much, I confess. I am uniformly and consistently ignorant of such matters.

When the light is at full (too bright IMHO), the text is washed out (Voyage).

It looks fine to me, but I agree the light is too bright for the room.

I'm not sure why so many of the video reviewers think they need to turn the light up high enough to be used in a maritime lighthouse to guide ships 10 miles out to sea. Nor do I understand why they use autofocus and no tripod. Very unprofessional and about as useless as one of those unboxing videos. He also seemed to get confused by the menu systems, though I don't speak German so I cannot confirm that.

thank you for the info

Tolino's light is weak, isn't it.
Looking at the second picture (Tolino and Voyage side by side):
- there seems to be a reflection on the glass top of the Voyage (top right downto middle left)
- seems to be Caecilia Cond with font size 3 and - even with low size-font - the page would look better with hyphenation (imagine soft-hyphens not working with the Voyage )
- they still haven't aligned the positions infos to the margins of the text (urgh)

That is because the video is not a hands-on review, but appears to be a display / sales / demonstration stand. While you personally may not read with max brightness it still shows how much brighter the Voyage CAN go compared to the Tolino. Nobody doubts that at very low settings suitable for reading in very dim light there is overlap between both models. In the dark the light is simply to be able to read without extra lighting, in very bright including outdoors it is to make the background appear closer to white instead of grey. Again that is preference - you may want to turn the light off or down as low as possible in bright daylight, and somebody else thinks it looks better with the light.

Any one can easily tell it was made at a demo stand. But that doesn't excuse a very poor video, and I'm sure a poor review as well.
