I agree with you in the Spanish locale and yes, what you're looking at is exactly what I would like to use .

I have looked at how this might be done, and it isn't practical. There is no way to download a file containing translated and untranslated strings, and there is no way to upload a file and have it ignore untranslated strings.

@Terisa de morgan & PremaEbooks: regarding the translation credits dialog: the French translator asked that his name be tappable. He hasn't decided yet whether it should go to his website or open an email client. Both are possible.
