And if you find a case you like, you can probably get a seamstress to change it to one of the wristband thingies. A good one, I mean, not me. That might be even cheaper than designing one from scratch.

One more thing that may be of interest to those who are not big into purses is the Longchamps Le Pliage "clutch".
It is a bit wider than a checkbook, and I can fit my credit cards, car keys, work BlackBerry, Note2, and some more small stuff in it. It basically helps keep a bunch of small things together, opens wide, and, IMO looks gorgeous. The picture doesn't do it justice: ![]() |

How about these?
http://www.ebags.com/product/baggall...uctid=10290988 http://www.ebags.com/product/baggall...49&rlid=DETAIL This company (Baggallini) seems to make small cross body purses in varying sizes and colors. You might also try Le Sportsac. |

I have a few Baggallini very small cross-body bags like that and I love them. Unfortunately 2 of my favorites don't seem to be made anymore or are very hard to find any left iin stock, and they're the perfect size to fit my 5-6" readers in them and a few essentials like phone, camera, keys, ccards, etc. But the brand is very lightweight and really sturdy, well made. I dislike any with flaps generally though since items under it aren't really secure from pickpockets or if you tip it the wrong way, and it just adds more bulk to the bag. They also don't have the color selection they used to have, most usually had at least a dozen different color combos, now I'm lucky to find 4 choices, none of which I like.
http://tinyurl.com/ks763vr http://tinyurl.com/qfo9qyl http://tinyurl.com/qxw3kav Edit: I also got them on sale, usually at ebags.com, and I never paid more than $35 US for any of them. Having a shoulder strap is a must for me as I hate having to actually carry a purse and hang onto it, worry about setting it down, etc. Last edited by Ripplinger; 10-09-2014 at 09:59 AM. |

As a cabinet maker I have to carry tools with me very frequently. The most useful and favorite carrying accessory for that is a belt. There are pouches, bags and cases made for any type of devices or tools that will slide on a belt. But nothing with style I'm afraid. Worse I've purchased bib and brace pants because the weight of toolbelts is starting to strain my back.
Another way to go is that there is more and more clothing made for working with small tools about you. Mostly in Europe there are many companies that tailor to that market. Namely Mascot in Britain, Eberhard Strauss in Germany and so many more that sprout around the world that it's difficult to keep track of. Some of the clothing takes root in military styles but evolved to something different that can be appealing to some. Photography is another domain to inspire from as the equipment required to perform at the ready has to be near the body at all times. Then again styling needs are difficult to sustain there. What I wear the most away from work since I am a tent camper is rock climbing pants from Outdoor Research. They feature just enough pockets at the right places not to hinder movement for carrying some eQuipment along. And they are kind of attractive to boot. I read with a Kobo Mini. It's easy to tuck in a polo shirt pocket. Sometimes I use an iPod Touch that I carry the same way. But I'm still waiting for a device that would be in a size between the two and thought that the iPhone 6+ would do it but it's too long and not wide enough. How about a Google Glass type reader/phone/computer type of device? Last edited by yvanleterrible; 10-13-2014 at 07:11 AM. |

I just found something I could see myself wearing if it was all black: a ruffles hip bag. There are other, better styles on etsy, but what a cool idea!
