If the external memory card has multiple partitions is there a way to have koreader mount those other partitions? or configure koreader to mount a partition other than the first one?

my external SD storage is set up like this:

-partition 1: FAT filesystem

-partition 2 and 3: Android filesystem for dual boot

-partition 4: FAT filesystem

I've edited vold.fstab in the android filesystem so that the android boot mounts the fourth partition instead of the first one. why? simply so that any cached data from android apps (images etc) doesn't get scanned and pointlessly added to the library when I'm I boot back to Nickel (really annoying)

It's a great solution but all that's missing is being able to mount my fourth partition and open files there using koreader. any help?

not out of the box. We do not have a "script runner" menu plugin yet - it might be a good thing to add in the future. For now, you can hack the code for the filemanager menu to include your own mount/unmount commands, see file frontend/apps/filemanager/filemanagermenu.lua, there you can add at roughly line 170 something like this:
Code:
    table.insert(self.tab_item_table.tools, {
        text = "mount my partition",
        callback = function() os.execute("mount /dev/... /mnt/us/mountpoint") end
    })
    table.insert(self.tab_item_table.tools, {
        text = "unmount my partition",
        callback = function() os.execute("umount /dev/... /mnt/us/mountpoint") end
    })

@Don_Karnage, I had that problem also on my Mini until I tried another internal card. Seems not every card is suitable to be used internal.
There is a workaround wirth Start Menu and the "keep awake" statement, maybe check this.
But a better solution would be another internal SD card.

I tried to use koreader (v2014.04-762-g8fda638) on the new H2O, but could not get it to work, with advboot I got to the firs screen, the directory, but that did not respond to any input.
With KSM (my preferred method) the start was upside-down, and unresposive.
With fmon I did all I could get was an enlarged view of koreader.png

Is there any hope?

Same here, koreader freezes. The main title of koreader is higher than normal with the top one-third of the text cut off the top margin. The text is also smaller than normal, compared to the Aura HD (works fine).

Also, CoolReader does not work properly. It loads fine, but the menu system is not responsive. Nothing can be selected, not even the exit button. Needed to reboot the device.

Sleep mode drainage (again...)

I have given up trying to find out the circumstances that are draining my battery while at suspend in Koreader, but I have to add a new observation.
Koreader 758.

I left my reader sleep for the last few days (it seems like a crime, doesn't it?)...
After a whole day in suspend it went from 100% to 50%!
After another whole day it had gone to 43%.
After yet an other one, it didn't open at all!
I open it by connecting it with a charger.

So no more sleeping from inside Koreader for me.

I wonder if tshering could somehow make KSM display the jpeg that's in "/mnt/onboard/.kobo/koreader/temp" while sleeping ....

This seems feasible. I will try to include it in the next version. Did you read the post on the sleep cover problem?

There is no jpg in that folder anymore.
And since the picture I created as a screensaver for Koreader was not accepted there is no general Koreader screensaver picture at all.

@those with H2O: When you say it is "unresponsive", you mean that in absolute terms, right? I.e. it does not response at all, to anything you do?

We probably need more data to properly recognize the device and set according DPI values, so the fonts are not so small. The issue about orientation of the screen is easy to fix, but we probably need more data.

Oh, I see.
There was one in mine, but I suppose was a leftover from previous versions.
Where is the cover stored now?

I didn't know there was something like that.
After I saw your picture, (I liked it a lot, so I copied the idea)
I made one myself in a higher resolution and a little cleaner.
If you like it, you could use it as "general screen-saver".
Actually, anybody that likes it, can use it.

Using fmon, all it does is to show the koreader.png enlarged, can tap to go back to nickel home screen. KSM starts upside down, and does not respond at all to either tapping or the power button. advboot works, but selecting koreader takes me to the directory screen, which looks fine (albeit with small font size), but does not respond any input.

If I can be of any help debugging, do let me know.
