Glad to know I'm not the only one displeased with Kobo's ordering/shipping system.

I was charged on the 29th, I still have not had a tracking number emailed to me. I called on Sept 30th, and then again on Oct 2nd. On the 30th CS told me it should ship out on the first of October. I still didn't have a number on the 2nd, when I called I was told it still had not shipped and to call back on Monday the 6th. If my H20 isn't here or at the very least shipped CS is going to see a much less understanding side of me.

This is also why I wish Kobo would invest in getting their products back in to US retailers.

Where is it you live? Maybe the H2O is not yet available there (depending where you live)? Or Did you set you set your account's location to a country where the H2O is not for sale?

None on display at Argos Dunstable, I just took a chance. I did an online chat with them first to make sure it was included in their 30 day return window though. I can't see any problem with the screen so far, which is just as well as it was the only one they had.

I rang Argos Customer Service and tried to get the same assurance, unfortunately in my case they told me while it didn't appear to be an excluded item if the packaging showed any signs of having been opened it would not be able to be returned. Was your H20 in any kind of sealed wrapper? Could you have got it out, checked it and got it back in the box without them knowing?

£140 is just too much money to take a chance with.

The issue for me is the screen, I've read reports on here of yellow screens, I might end up with a device that has a screen I don't like. In that situation it's my word against Argos's that it's faulty. Buying from Argos is a really big gamble. I'd be happier if WHSmith had demo models in the store, at least then I'd have a benchmark they couldn't argue with.
