Did you use any customized settings in the patch to achieve that full screen? I plan on getting an H2O in November after I come back from vacation.

That is an ePub with margin settings removed in the CSS. The patch "Custom reading footer style" is enabled using the default settings in the downloaded file for the Aura HD/H2O. The line-spacing and custom margins patches are enabled with the default options. The "ePub adjustable top/bottom margin" and the "margins fine tuning" patches are not enabled. The margin toggle in the device settings is set to the third slider value.

Does the H2O come with 3.7.0 or 3.8.0 installed? What is the difference between them? If it has 3.7.0 are there any reasons not to upgrade it to 3.8.0? Just getting prepared for when I pick up my H2O in the morning.

Thank you. I might have a smaller line-height and smaller left/right margins and the smaller Charis SIL font. I like that the screen is fully usable.

Would you like to try a hinted version of the Charis SIL Larger that you are using?

Mine came with 3.7.0 and didn't upgrade itself yet

Just grab the mark 5 version of 3.8.0 in the firmaware links thread, follow the directions and install 3.8.0. Then you can use the patcher to patch 3.8.0 the way you want.

I'd suggest just holding off for the time being and remain on 3.8.0. When there is a new official build for the H2O then by all means side load that build.

And no; no real good reason for my suggestion.

I had decided to get one so dropped by a Chapters / Indigo this afternoon and grabbed one.

On getting home I had some buyers remorse and decided to let my other half have it instead; she is still on a Touch (I at least have a Glo) but also reads on her Arc 7.

Maybe next month I'll get one for me!

Did I say I was still on 3.7?

When I saw it didn't find any updates I just grabbed the firmware and upgraded it myself
