When I get back from vacation in early November, I'll be ordering the H2O. Since I don't know when it would ship once I can order it and I'll not be home part of October into November, I don't want it arriving when I'm not at home. But I'm hoping by the time I am ready to order, it will be available and ship right away.

Ok. But do you actually exist?

Actually, you both don't exist. You are just a new version of Eliza modified to use new eBook related words/terms.

I'm going to start haunting the front door. Got an email yesterday (Monday) that my H2O was shipped and the status on Chapters/Indigo's webpage changed to shipped in full today.

My Aura HD is not looking forward to this... I can finally try those experiments on it that have been restricted by using it as my primary ereader. Where did I leave that information on creating a zombie badger??? Mwuhahahahaha!

Well I was charged yesterday (monday), did not get any shipping info, waited until today (tuesday) in the evening to contact Kobo.

My H20 -should- ship tomorrow but might not. I do have to say I was expecting worse CS from all I've read. I tried the webform and never got anywhere, I then told them to call me and never got a call, finally I just called them and while there was a wait I was helped and the guy seemed fairly knowledgeable about what was going on.

What CS told you has 50:50 odds of being correct, and that will be due to chance. They likely have no actual access to whether you device shipped or not. It would not surprise me if it shows up at your door tomorrow. In past there has seemed to be some challenges between Kobo/Canada Post in getting a tracking number out. If memory serves my Aura HD showed up on the release date and I got my tracking email later that day (after delivery).

I received a shipping notice from Chapters tonight! As of 6:30pm my H2O is in Canada Post's grubby little hands in Mississauga. Hopefully it makes the midnight truck up the 401 tonight.

Might make a difference that I'm in the US, and they do have a distro center in Delware.

We'll see. I just want to get it, don't really care if I get the tracking number before the H20 or after. Though I am addicted to tracking packages.

The countdown is still a week's time where I'm at.
Do write a review once you've clutched it in your mitts. We could use that intel.

Well, it arrived here. It's got a nice black line of 'dead' pixels, sigh.

edit: Apart from that it's pretty damn nice though

There's an upside, your merchant will snug in a coupon with the new one

All of the few owners so far gave a positive feedback; with you, that's another reason to grab it.

Just bummed I'll have to wait a few more days to actually be able to use it. I never had a screen with dead pixels and I bought a lot of things with screens over the years, guess it was statistically unavoidable .

Apart from that it's pretty nice, good contrast, even light and very sharp and clear. It's not too heavy like some said, but I never understood that complaint when a book weighs much more.
Was worried it might be big but it really isn't much bigger than a kindle.

edit: Also, works with all my usb cables, including the Kindle's.

As the adage goes: there's always a first time.
Few more days shouldn't dampen the fun till the new one comes knocking. I share your sentiment about the weight, as long as its slimmer than the average (crime-fiction) hard-cover book I'm completely content.

I've already received an ODYSSEY cover claiming to fit the H2O, but my hopes are overcast with doubt as it specifically advertizes only for Aura HD. Will have to wait and see
