i love that site.

the "frounds of jam" sounds like some sort of weird mystico-mythical animal guarding a treasure or a king (or the king's marmelade).

it really depends on the french person. much, i think, the way it depends on the english person. most of the people i frequent make up words regularly, in one language or another. sometimes french people make up words in english : those are *really* funny.

you can see some french mozzles from long before the word "mozzle" was mozzled in the scribblings thread ; i found them in an old notebook.

Good to know. I got the impression (from somewhere, not from you) that the French were really big on preserving the French language (of course, trying to "preserve" a language is like trying to preserve a human being ... you end up with something that is dead and dry).
