Haha! Before this replacement for the replacement surgery, my mantra was that if I saw him in the hospital (because old and new doc cut out of there but are not in the same practice. FORTUNATELY! !!),was that I was going to PUNCH him in the nose! I even had fantasies of leaping out of my bed and taking him down in the hall in front of the nurses station. Ok, so when you're hurting your fantasies get a little weird.

Seems like a perfectly normal fantasy to me.

Ok, maybe I've been watching the "Cell Block Tango" clip from Chicago just a bit too much lately .....

Hell, I don't think that has anything to do with you hurting; that seems pretty damn normal to me, given everything he's put you through.

You know, it's kind of weird, actually probably not terribly weird, about 3 or 4 weeks before I found out what was wrong I started consuming enormous quantities of milk. I was a milk drinker as a kid, and when pregnant, but since the kids flew the nest I'd rarely have milk in the house. So anyway, I've been going through a gallon about every 3 days. I've always been pretty good about listening to my body when odd cravings come up. Guess it makes sense now

You may want to cut back on chocolate consumption, as the oxalates in chocolate can inhibit the absorption of calcium when eaten every day. In addition to vitamin D, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, magnesium, and boron assist in absorbing calcium and also increasing bone mass. Exercise also helps the body absorb calcium. Because the body has a hard time absorbing a large amount of calcium at once, spreading out the intake of calcium is also recommended.

I'm not much of a sweet eater so that's not a huge deal. Exercise right now is problematic as walking has become so incredibly painful

You don't need to walk to exercise. There are a lot of exercises that can be done while you are flat on your back. (No... I'm not talking about THAT one! ) Or sitting in a chair.

Where there's a will...

Un-BE-freaking-believable

...{SIGH}

First, I get someone who requests a quote, and when I reply to his/her email, I get one of THESE:

Quote:
I apologize for this automatic reply to your email.

To control spam, I now allow incoming messages only from senders I
have approved beforehand.

If you would like to be added to my list of approved senders, please
fill out the short request form (see link below). Once I approve you,
I will receive your original message in my inbox. You do not need to
resend your message. I apologize for this one-time inconvenience.
REALLY? You're so inconsiderate that you make me jump through THIS hoop, so that I may reply to YOUR inquiry?

And, second on my hit parade today:

We have an (older than me) elderly client. Not like, 95, but older. We've been working on his print book--kinda--since APRIL. We emailed him back then, waiting for production materials. Nada. (Meanwhile: he's paid, mind you, so I can't just blow him off.) Then AUGUST, because he got involved in some other whatever. Finally, in AUGUST, we have a 24-email-long thread about what we need to do the book. For the last two months, my guy and this client have been back and forth on what my guy needs.

TODAY, I see that my guy has AGAIN told the client that we need the font he used for his Chapter heads (it's a font we don't have/use), and the guy replies, "oh, well, I created the chapter heads by putting these numbers in this image, and that's why I sent them to you." Now...in AUGUST, my guy told this client that we couldn't USE the g...d... images, because they are 96DPI, which will get banged at Createspace.

And now they're back at it, having the SAME conversation, again. My head nearly exploded, so I stepped in, said, "we've had 51 email messages on this, and that's not tenable. We have to stop that, and get this done. We can't use these images, as X told you in August."

The client emails ME, in a HUFF. Now, HE's angry, because he claims that there have NOT been 51 email messages (hunh?). This whole project (the print version of this book) is, like, under $400. FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS.

There are days when I just think...honestly, what the hell am I doing here?

This obviously pales in comparison to what's happening with KK, and some of the other things here, but seriously...
