Back on the Rioja again.

I'm a bit obsessed with a band I went to see last week (alt-J, who are just about to kick off the US leg of their tour) and instead of dreaming I keep hearing their songs in my head. When I wake through the night or first thing in the morning, it is one or other of their lyrics and tunes running around my brain, and I just can't shake it.

EDIT: wifey has just come through and said their Paris concert is live streaming right now! So I am now watching them live. Time for a fresh glass of Rioja

I've got a 48 hr loop in my brain, for tunes. Something that I haven't heard in years, I'll hear once while waking up (you know, only half hearing it, but the radio is trying to bring me to consciousness). 48 hours later I'll be humming it, and wondering where THAT tune came from.

It has happened repeatedly.

Good morning, everyone! Happy Tuesday. Somehow, Tuesdays seem rather inocuous, don't they? Neither here nor there... But it's always seemed like a 'nice' day. On par with ' she's nice... all her sorority sisters like her,' or 'he's nice... never offends anyone.' Hmmmmm..... so much for morning musing. I have a big mug of Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea this morning, and just about ready to visit the tea lady.

Yesterday I rode around visiting various bike rental places, seeing who had the 'perfect ride' for our trip in two weeks. There are so many rental places around here that the choice is difficult! This is one of the 'mid-sized' rental shops. Some of the large ones really dwarf this place!

Everything from 100cc motor scooters for $3 a day to 1100cc Crotch Rockets for $20 a day. I found a 750cc Cruiser that should be perfect for our ride.

Most (but not all) of the songs that I post here are tunes that are in my head when I wake up... and I don't even have a radio playing! Usually they come from some guitar playing the night before that continues to rumble around my head. But then, like you, I'll find myself humming it all day! It's usually quite nice!
