No, we can pre order and buy it but only direct from Kobo and I don't think my sanity can cope with the unknowns of that experience. We have no other retailer in the UK.

I just received a shipping confirmation from Futureshop. H2O has been shipped.

I am still contemplating whether I should return Kobo H2O and stick with Kindle Voyage, which I have also pre-ordered.

Hmm.. I hope that H2O does not have as many reported problems as other Kobo readers.

Where did you find the price for the Kindle Voyage on amazon.ca? I tried again to search for it and couldn't find it at any price.

When I bring up the Kindle ereader page, what I see is in the screenshot attached to this message.

Well it's officially the 29th. Kobo claims the H20 pre-orders will ship today.

I pre-ordered from kobo.com, seems to be the only reliable place in the US.

I've decided to wait to get the H2O until after my vacation. That way I'll know how the device is from actual users and I'll know how the ordering went from Kobo. And I'll know if any local bookstores have it.

Besides, I cannot guarantee to get the H2O before I go on vacation so I'd rather it not arrive while I am not home.

For anyone in the UK. If we order direct from Kobo the device ships from Germany, and will take a week or so to arrive. I've rung WHSMITH this morning and they still know nothing about the device

My worry about ordering before seeing the device is what if I decide I don't like it, at least with Amazon I can send it back.

Was the Aura HD or Aura available to pre-order from WH Smith or just on release? I just remember going into WH Smith after the Aura was released to have a look at demo models and it took a while for them to get any.

It's being sold by a third party seller 'Arcadia Mall' and not by Amazon, hence the price jump, someone trying to make cash by reselling it.
