The T68 is a very good ereader. But it is not acceptable that a premium product cannot match the touch screen accuracy of a "more than two year old 6" capacitive screen" on a device half the price. New technology is no advantage when the results are inferior. I had anticipated the problems would be resolved in later firmware releases, which is acceptable. Hardware issues which will never be resolved are not.

So it's basically just random chance whether a customer gets a touchscreen with good accuracy or not? Mine is absolutely fine, but there seem to be a lot which are not.

I'm not going to say that T68 is perfect, but neither are AURA HD or PW2, which I own and I've using for the last year.
With the last updates (in my case) the screen accuracy is almost perfect. And I say almost because it has the same issues that my AURA HD has. Sometimes I click on an item and does nothing. The same thing happens in my AURA HD. I've been reading in my T68 for the last three months. Sometimes using Coolreader, sometimes OnyxNeo Reader, and even the Kindle app. What I've notice when selecting a word is that if I do it a little below the word the selection fails, but if you do it a little above it never fails. Taking this behaviour on account, I always select the word "from above". The result is that the selection never fails. Page turn is quicker. OnyxNeo starts quicker. No, is not perfect but in my case I don't have most of the problems that you guys are having... ![]() I've never had any issues with the eReader restarting on low battery. To increase the battery life I tried removing Phone.apk and TelephonyProvider.apk and now the battery seems to last more than two weeks based on 1 hour reading dayly. Booxtor, maybe you should get rid of those apps the next time you compile the ROM. I haven't notice anything going wrong since I got rid of them... |

Sounds like you have a "good" T68, as I have. Some people here have unfortunately not been as lucky as we have been.

Guys, I used the T68 pretty heavily through the weekend. Even with the latest update, I still get 1 out of 5 to 1 out of 10 taps wrong. This is 10-20% which - in my book - is unacceptable for a premium product.
I don't care if it misses taps on small buttons, but trying to hit battery and hitting home is VERY annoying. Given that I'm using the device to highlight pdfs, this makes my life difficult. I have also noticed that tapping over the item you want to tap usually works, but still, using that method I have 10-20% inaccuracy because the tap is sometimes registered OVER my tap position. I have to note that I don't have any low-battery-boot loop issues. I ran it down to 7%, then restarted with wifi and light on, and it still booted fine! ![]() Quote:
If yes, then I can conclude that my device has a hardware issue. I'll probably keep returning it until I get a good one :P @Booxtor, I do NOT expect accuracy anywhere near a galaxy s5. I merely need usable accuracy for highlighting and not accidentally pressing the wrong buttons! Last edited by cmavr8; 09-29-2014 at 06:17 AM. |

Under battery usage I get Cell stand-by 67% Device idle 29% Screen 2% Wifi 2% That's after an hour on battery, with screen off. But I think cell standby is always there.... |

T68 - some questions
i just received the T68 from ebook-reader.de. I am old owner of a M92 and wanted to continue with Onyx. I originally didn't check but now i realize there is no chance to export notes and highlights. I would have thought there should have been a progress on this point: with android, i figured even my highlights could have been posted on Facebook, for example or on Twitter (i intend to use these accounts to collect my highlights, not so much for a social use).
So my question is: am i missing some functionalities? I don't see any chance to export notes/highlights. Second question: if any, there is any chance to post automatically on Facebook? Thank you for any help |

Unfortunately I dropped Moon+ and went back to Neo reader, because Moon+ can't highlight PDFs while reflowing. Neo can, but I don't know if its highlights are exported. |
