Careful there KK ..... Pooh does have a wicked Guard Cat. Perhaps he should just be left to stew in his own Talisker. We can check back later, to see if he is all better! or else marinated just right.

Just sitting down to my first mug of tea after a long day at the laundromat, washing the heavy quilts for winter and sipping on a large, foam cup of convenience store coffee.

Good morning, everyone. Yes, it's another Saturday, and almost time to leave for the fencing salle. I'm looking forward to a great day of fencing! Actually, I'm looking forward to trying out the test box I made last night. Some of the club's body cords are beginning to break down, and this test box will be an easy way to figure out which of the wires has a problem, and what that problem might be (these cords are the electrical connection that plug into the sword, go up the arm, down the back, and connect to the scoring machine ) so we can fix them rather than having to replace them.

Unbranded Keemun tea this morning. God, I really like this stuff! I worry about what's going to happen when I run out of it! (I feel like a junkie!) Red stuff from the Food Lady to go with it. Every bit as good. I just wish I knew what it was...

NOthing in me cup yet - probably be water soon, lots of it - it is RACE DAY! The Virginia 10 Miler! Which of course helpfully includes 2, 1.5+ mile long uphill stretches, cause this is VA where we only have up hill races...grrrr

And I think you just talked me into a glass as well! It's a very interesting taste, not like any other gin. All the rest taste medicine-y to me. Bombay Sapphire just tastes like something an alcoholic 60's Flower Child 'Earth Mother in combat boots and a granny dress' would concoct with stuff from her garden!

Well done!

I always wanted to be a long-distance runner, but had to settle for sprints. I could handle an 18k cross-country ski race so long as I didn't mind coming in 45 minutes after the leaders...

Well the leaders, a pair of Kenyans, finished in 48:20 - so not quite 45mins ahead of me, but close!

But I am not in these to win, I just try to be my previous time and that is a win for me.
