Tutorial for Library Management

Hi.

I currently have a Nook Simple Touch but I'm thinking of getting a Kobo Aura. (I also have an older Kindle.)

It's been suggested to me that I use Calibre to manage my library. I have used Calibre to add books, convert formats, fix metadata if necessary, and then load books onto the device.

What I'm looking for is a tutorial that will show me how to create a library for my ereader, put them into shelves/categories and then load them onto the device so they show up in categories/shelves. This would also make it easier to reload in case my reader crashed.

Thanks.

Have you clicked the Help button in Calibre?
There are generic (not device specific) FAQ tutorials to start with.

But if you go to the Main download site and click DEMO...

I'd start with the Quick Guide to Shelf Management in the Kobo forum. It's pretty straightforward and Kobo specific. I don't use that process anymore because I read with koreader exclusively but the post does a good job of describing what you need to do.
