Got it. Thanks! It didn't occur to me to use the desktop app, I was looking for a download button.

Been trying to buy a book for the past hour or so using the Hong Kong store - and found out that many of the coupons don't work - and that is including a code they emailed me. The book itself is eligible for coupons in Hong Kong - the website wouldn't allow me to use it in Canada. It's not a book that I am dying to read - so I guess I will just give it up.

@samosa some of the codes only work on the new checkout and maybe some only on the old checkout.

I've played a bit so far and of course received no codes worth posting. I may just wait till the last few days and play all at once.

Also has anyone noticed that (in the US at least) the contest still isn't showing on Kobo's front page? It usually does after the first day but I'm still now having to go through contest.kobo.com to get there. I really think they're starting to phase the contests out.

Kobo wants CA$45.21 + tax for a book that Amazon will let me pre-order for US$16.99 (w/o tax), delivery in two weeks. Jest sayin'.

That's got to be one powerful coupon to make me go for option A; perkopolis won't cut it. No US pre-order on this title for comparison purposes, either.

It could be possible they lost their sponsors for the trivia. (I'm not saying they even had sponsors, but I assume that someone was paying to be listed in the trivia because it's a huge ad for the books. And since Kobo was probably losing money for almost every coupon used, the only way to make that back was via sponsors helping pay for it.)

Or the trivia/coupons may not be effective for whatever they were after. They have a number of other promotions that they run and if they make more money from those (either via sponsors or sales) it's only normal that they move away from one that isn't as successful for them. Admittedly the coupons is what got me shopping at Kobo, but I do buy from some of their other sales type things too now that I've gone ahead and signed up. Then to I think I've kind of accepted I'm not always going to have 75 percent off...BUT I did get one 75 percent off this contest! Since I only need the one book, the next one I get will go up here!

Its the same on the UK website - still no link to the contest. Happened last month as well but it finally appeared on day 3.

Also did anyone with a UK account get an email announcing this month's contest? I only found out about it because I have a separate US account.

I'm in the US and have signed up several times and have NEVER gotten notification of the contests. I even asked my associate guy about it--it's another group that does those ads, so he had no advice.

The lack of it being advertised on their front pages is probably a glitch more than anything. I mean, let's face it, sometimes just logging in and PLAYING takes a bit of work!
