I'm giving some thought to getting an iPhone 6 plus. My current iPhone has gotten a bit battered (my own carelessness, I dropped it on the concrete without the case) so I do need a new phone. I prefer the smaller form factor for the phone, but it was pointed out to me that with the larger form factor, the iPhone 6 plus might have a big enough screen to read on, even for older eyes like mine, and thus, I wouldn't need to carry my iPad mini with me at lunch.

I shall probably buy one at some point in the next few months. My current iPhone 4 has done me good service, but it's now over 4 years old, and the battery life is falling significantly.

the 5.5" iPhone has 13 sq. in. of reading space compared to a 5" eBook Reader with 12 sq. in. of reading space. It is indeed in the area of a small eBook Reader.

Well, looks like I'm going to have time to look at it closely, reports say that they are currently back ordered through mid October. Thanks for the info. I hadn't thought of it that way, but after placing my iPhone 5 on top of my Sony PRS-T2, you definitely have a point.
