I have begun reading Fool Moon, and it's better than Storm Front so far. I've stopped at Chapter 8 for today, Tomorrow I'll read even more. For a 400 page book it's fast. The beginnings in the two books were strong suits. But here I'm surprised at how easily the tempo is kept despite Bob popping up. I am starting to believe that Fool Moon will be better altogether.

OK, finished Storm Front. I like Harry Dresden's kind of humour, and his clear rejection of social Darwinism. There's some sense of a serious agenda behind the action/magic entertainment (which I found a bit meh, I have to admit), so based on that and the assertions of the local fan club that it will get better, I'll pick up the second book soon.

But many people don't know how to return an eBook early or they just don't bother since it will automatically go back. The problem is that when the library has a 3 week loan, accounts are automatically set for the 3 weeks instead of 2 weeks more reasonably. To be honest, I think 3 weeks is too long and loans should be 2 weeks maximum. With the new hold feature, eBooks can easily be managed so not to have to have too many ready to borrow so 2 weeks is not enough time to read.

I am glad you gave it a try. The next one is even better. He was really improving his writing skills in large strides in the beginning.

Finished Fool Moon. Veeery satisfying read. I gave the book 4/5 stars. the first 75% of the book was great! I wasn't thrilled by the finale, but you can't have everything. I'll read book three next month.
