I really enjoyed them. Easy comfort reads. Her 'modern' ones are also good I thought. Death and the joyful woman has a really sensitive description of first love, very touching and real. George Felse is the policeman. The kind of family you'd want to belong too. Well, I'd want to belong to : ) just a pointer if you fancy digging beyond Cadfael.

Thanks for the pointer! Though it appears that I'll have to order physical copies if I want to read any of these anytime soon. Any ebooks that DID exist (written under the Ellis Peters name) have vanished entirely in the US. Nada. Zip. There are currently a whopping two Edith Pargeter ebooks available: The Brothers Gwynedd omnibus and The Bloody Field by Shrewsbury.

They are published by Open Road and thus couponable at Kobo!
