I am wondering if it would be possible to do comics rss feeds to ebook format, like in the fetch news.

From feeds like on http://www.tapestrycomics.com/ an example feed being http://www.gocomics.com/bc/rss.pxml This would be awesome. Thanks. |

It's certainly possible. There used to be a dilbert recipe until the dilbert site became subscription based.

Dilbert site might be subscription based but you can still get the comic strip here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/DilbertDailyStrip

yeah but that feed links to a flash based website. feeds2lrf doesn't extract content from flash.

Would such a feed recipe somehow call on comicLRF?

I'm interested in attempting to get the "Questionable Content" comic feed on my reader: feed://www.questionablecontent.net/QCRSS.xml |

No it would use html2lrf to create the LRF file. Shouldn't be a problem as long as the images in the feed are not too big.

I already tried it with a basic recipe, the images in the feed are too big for the captions to be legible. It sounds as though comicLRF can split the image, maybe I'm misinterpreting it.

yeah comic2lrf will do a generally better job of rescaling the images, but to use it, feeds2disk will have to have special support for comic feeds (it will have to generate a bunch of image file instead of a bunch of html files.
