Nice...but I heard you can't read a Sears or Target catalog on it. Talk about being locked into their sandbox!! I wonder if Calibre could help?

No, it uses highly restrictive rights management to prevent you from reading other content on your bookbook. You cannot even read other bookbook content on your bookbook -- you have to buy a new bookbook for it. They do not allow sideloading of any kind.

I cannot see this getting very far. Even the Great Satan Amazon allows sideloading non-DRMed content.

Really funny. I loved the monk's sudden panic right at the end: but I can't open it!

I have a sort of love-hate relationship with IKEA. If you need to furnish a house quickly, their stuff probably is the best value. But they always seem so unbearably smug, and their stuff does break very easily.

I bet the bookbook would have missing pages.

I love bookbook! I get both the paper and the electronic versions, but I only read the paper one. I tend to have at least two (one in the house and one in the car) at any one time.

They didn't mention that it can be left in a hot car and still work instantly when you retrieve it! LOL It is also sturdy enough to continue to work even with dings and bent edges -- there are no additional expenses toward buying custom-fit protective covers every time you upgrade!
