Yes, I think I'll need a better photo. That one looks like a giant tick in a web. I tried extracting Beatrice from the photo, and she didn't occupy very many pixels at all. When I tried a Google image search, this was the result:

After a through examination of the evidence, it is my considered opinion that Stella has learned to spin webs, because I know you don't have any rabbit-eared pugs on the premises.

Actually, Stella spinning webs would not surprise me in the least. Hey Pooh, speaking of Stella, how about a recent picture? Last time I saw her she was barely out of kittenhood.

Wow! My wife and three girls would go apesh*t if that was hanging outside one of our doors. Wouldn't just be an airstrike, they'd be willing to burn the whole house down just to be sure...

Speaking of spiders, found a dead one on the floor of our gazabo a few minutes ago.

Is it my imagination or is that a violin on the fellow's back? I've enhanced the photo to make it easier to see the pattern.

How close do you expect me to get to that monster?

Sure - criticize the photo quality - I think it's dang good for holding my FireFone at arms length aiming it at her - the camera is supposed to compensate for hand shake, but I might have overwhelmed its sensors!

I'll try again this afternoon when she drops down into the web to feed.

Check out my Cat Album on my profile page .... and I'll sort through the new ones this weekend for more recent photos. She weighs in at 13 - 14 pounds and acts like a puppy - all sweet, loving, and playful.

Getting excited because in 1 hour from now MeTV begins broadcasting a repeat of one of the best TV series ever: The Adventures of Superman. I love that old show. It marked my first activist activity. As a child, I watched the episodes as they were broadcast for the first time, and about the time I was 12 or 13, when the episodes were no longer being broadcast on any of our three local channels and the star was dead supposedly by suicide, I started three petitions to have the repeats returned to the air, got everyone at school I could corner to sign them, and sent one to each of the three stations. One of the stations actually replied and said they had considered my request and was glad to let me know that they would be honoring my request. Whether my petition stirred then into action, or whether it was simply a coincidence of timing I don't know, but the repeats returned and I was happy.

This first season was one of the best. It was geared toward the whole family rather than being aimed solely toward kids as were the later episodes. And it will be nice to once again see Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane. She had a much more adult take on the character than did Noel Neill, the actress who portrayed Lois from the second season onwards. Oh, I liked Noel Neill—she was very charming and seemed the type of person anyone would like in their life—but Phyllis Coates had that hard edge and take-no-prisoners approach to the character that made you believe she had what it took to make it in a man's world.

Stella loves to play 'ambush cat' - she hides under an arm chair (unfortunately she's too big to fit) and waits for Goldie to walk by ..... it's a shame she falls asleep in the dark .... and her prey escapes!
