Oy, what a last few days!
First I had to re-restore 5WW's personality (note to self: when restoring an incremental backup, it's oldest to newest not the other way around!). Some of the Spawn's files got mixed up into the backup, but she seems to be functioning ok except that she's convinced she can speak Spanish and has a monkey companion named "Boots"...

We get back from Lab North and went to the old Lab to start upgrading the security (adding more lasers, sharks, and sharks with lasers) only to find BraveHeart skulking in the bushes. I'm getting ready to sic the dog on him. And the packages we keep getting! Luckily, the Acme Acid Slime was lime Jell-o and the Acme Weaponized Anthrax turned out to be sneezing powder. The really unfortunate moment happened when I was holding the Guinness can with the last of Pooh's DNA in it. The package of Acme Anthrax arrived and, in a fit of sneezing, I dropped the can... into the security system...
Wanting to salvage something, I quickly aimed the Mutation-O-Matic at the security system and hoped for the best. Pooh, the good news is that you've been offered a staring role in "Sharknado III - the Chickening". The better news is that no-one will be chasing you for your drumsticks anymore. The bad news is that you have to keep swimming to keep water flowing through your gills...

That may have been the BEL's last sample, but pooh himself contains his original DNA (as he's cyborg, not robot), so there's still hope for a proper cloned body for him.

If, that is, he can bring himself to trust the BEL, and, of course, if the BEL can be trusted!

What a poor example of a winning post. Such a dull post does not deserve to win. You come to this thread, and follow the adventures of the BEL, 5WW, poohbear_nc, and all, and the best you can come up with is "Winning."?

Have you no spark of imagination in you? Could you not contribute you own portion of narrative, however, small, to the continuing saga that is this best of all threads?

Will pooh ever get back a clone of his original body? Has 5WW fully recovered from the unfortunate backup-and-restore episode? What nefarious plans does the BEL have for his soon-to-be-restored lab? What is Lazy Scot up to with his new delieries? You leave all these questions unanswered.

For shame. To insult us with a bare word. What is the world coming to?

I hope no-one else will be so shallow as to do the same again in future. The winner of this thread should show some fellow-feeeling, and advance the plot at least a little.

I, for instance, am happy to note that I have solved Lazy Scot's problem by ordering an Automated Assembly robot for him from ACME. Once it's delivered it'll quickly assemble all his other deliveries.

Of course, I understand that it itself comes disassembled for ease of delivery....

Now if pooh could get hold of a reliable cloning machine from the BEL, he could not only clone himself a new body, he could probably also get it to generate enough headless chicken bodies to flood the market and save himself from any further assaults on his (allegedly delicious) person.

I must admit I'd thought that pooh really did want (a reasonable facsimile) of his old body back. But he doesn't seem to be making any efforts in that direction anymore. Perhaps he's come to like his new embodiment?

While we ponder pooh's next steps, I'll take the win.
