It's the same knee. The area I had been pointing to for over two years and saying it REALLY hurt had an abcess in the bone right below the prosthetic that my 6'5 surgeon could get his thumb into up to the joint, and that was one of two. Now this is the special part. ... I kept telling anyone who would listen that it felt like it, the prosthetic, was moving around. Wait for it. ...... the adhesive had never set. It was moving around. Yeah. Fun and games.

Aging flows the wrong way, time-wise. If I'd designed the world, we'd all be born wrinkled and infirm and grow healthier and stronger as we aged.

this really isn't an aging issue even though I'm certain that has an impact. Most of it is just plain bad practice (yeah I know) of medicine along with being treated as a "seeker" (of drugs by my surgeon

Yes...I booked a flight to New York in december!

I am treating my daughter to a holiday as she (finally, I never thought to see the day, ahem....) will graduate in november in Communication&Webdesign. It also looks as if she will have a job at the University close by as well.

Now I will go hunting the internet for an hotel. I am thinking of a B&B or other.

Wondering if it's really going to happen, that I have heating in my room again this winter.

Last year's fire damaged the old heating pipes in the basement. That wasn't a big problem, there was already a new system and my room was the only room not hooked up to it yet. My father promised me he would connect me heater before winter. Only, he didn't say which winter. Luckily it was a very mild winter and I made due with a small space heater.

I was already gearing up to start nagging when he bought a set of long drills and told me he was now ready to get going on my heating. Today's the day. We have to drill one hole between two floors and then we can start getting the gas hose in place from my room to downstairs. Later a friend, who's got the certificates to work with gas, is coming to see if there are no leaks and will hook it up according to regulations.

Still, a lot can go wrong today (I'm slightly worried I will end up with a big roll of gas hose in my bedroom) but things are moving!

Just finished having an early breakfast. It's not even 7AM yet. Haven't done that in a long while.

Now just organizing my junk on the computer.

It took a bit of effort and time, but it's in. Now we have to see when the gas fitter friend can come by to hook it up to the system.

The drilling of the holes didn't go as easily as planned. And my father was disappointed how much effort and time it took. But I had already counted on having a bit yellow roll in my room for an unforeseen period of time, so I'm happy. Though even after a shower my eyes still feel as if I sandpapered them.

Not much going on here - we're going to go pick up some plants from a friend. She's dividing hers, and has rose cuttings for me as well. It'll be a nice drive though, in the Tracker with the top down.
