We're in that uncomfortable period here where the temperature jumps 30 degrees (F) in the span of a day. At 6:30 this morning when I left my house it was 64F. By 4pm it is supposed to be 95F.

Can't it just be fall already?!

Not too bad, up here. Yesterday's humidity has fallen to "comfortable" levels, and it's supposed to stay just below 80 degrees.

Typical late summer weather up here. Daytime highs in the low 80s, but the humidity has been tolerable and the night lows have gone as far down as the 50s. We're supposed to make another run at the 90s this week, according to the weatherman, and the humidity is going back up.

Word is that the Old Farmers Almanac is calling for a long, hard, cold, snow-and-ice filled winter.

Yeah ... the polar vortex is still 'slipped' and will once again be funneling weekly cold fronts into the eastern half of the US! I just splurged on a pair of Muk-Luk slippers in anticipation of freezing toes.
