When I try to view an ebook I get a dialog telling me I have added ebook and it has found a duplicate. It is trying to add the same book already in the library and instead of viewing it.
Right click View and View specific format also try and add the book. Is this a bug or a setting that needs changing? Any help appreciated. Calibre 2.1 with Linux Mint 17 KDE

You need to change your KDE level file associations to set some application other than calibre to open the files, I'm guessing this is with PDF files.
