Hmm...This doesn't look good.
![]() Well, it's been in the hands of my just-turned-11-year-old son for several years. I'm kind of surprised it lasted this long. I don't suppose any one has any advice? Or wants to buy a slightly used ereader....? ![]() ApK Last edited by ApK; 08-28-2014 at 08:30 PM. |

I think this goes a bit beyond "slightly used." :-P Still though, to survive a young kid for several years... not too shabby!

That's why we need flexible displays. If that Sony had one, it would've survived.

The dark glasses are to protect the device's privacy.
![]() I posted this to commiserate on dearly departed ereaders, children, recovery and moving on, Etc.... Though wasn't it Sony who showed that prototype flexible 13 in. reader? Is it likely that most devices will switch to the flexible substrate, or is dedicate reader demand slipping too much for manufacturers to care? |

Classic picture of a broken screen substrate, I'm afraid.

Probably a small crack initially, which then spread. Like cracks in a car windscreen sometimes do.
