Do bug reports go here?

A feature I've wanted for a very long time: When you mark a page with a bookmark, and then want to go to that bookmark from the annotations list, you can just click it and go there, you don't have to long press and choose "show on page". Super!

However, if you do that, and then try to remove the bookmark by touching it, the reader will crash and power cycle, every time.

Edit: This was on an Aura HD.

Apparently I can't do it. If there is a passing moderator who could fix it...

It's me again with the stupid dyslexia (I see txt as pictures in my brain) and I saw something wasn't right in the picture, I am not pointing it out to make you funny ( not that you say that) but just to clear it.. after all, I have only one year english lessons so there will be a lot of more mistakes in my "contributions"..

I think bold was the only markup that worked in earlier 3.x.x versions.

Annoyingly, 3.8.0 recognizes both P elements and literal linefeeds as generating vertical space, so all my old books that have a linefeed between the /P and P tags in the OPF's description element now have Much Space between the paragraphs.

When I create a bookmark just by touching the upper right corner so it shows the turned down page corner, when I touch it again to undo the bookmark, it reboots the reader for me. Is there some new feature about the upper right corner where you can't undo the bookmark that way anymore that I don't know about? I do have GeoffR's patch for 3.8.0 applied, and I didn't try undoing the bookmark before I patched.

Tried it with sideloaded epub, but at the Aura HD I can do this without any problem.. so is it maybe in your case kepub related ?
/Edit also tried on the Glo, with epub you can make and undo the bookmark without any problems or rebooting.
( both patched thanks to GeoffR )

I did some more testing of it. If I turn down the page corner and stay on that page I can immediately remove the bookmark by touching in the upper corner, that way it works fine and repeatedly.

But if I bookmark a page, turn a few pages, then bring up the annotations list and click on that bookmark that brings me to the bookmarked page, and then try to undo the bookmark, that's when it reboots. It happens in every epub I've tried.

All my epubs are sideloaded as well.

Btw, it happens with kepubs also, I had one on my reader that I just tried it with. Same sequence causes the same reboot.

I assumed that anytime you tried to undo the bookmark it would happen and not be limited to a particular sequence. When I tried it again after your first post, it was working perfectly just clicking nonstop on it as you said. That's when I tried it exactly how I got there before, from the annotations list, to duplicate it.

Sorry about the incomplete information the first time!

No problem at all.. I don't use the bookmark function.. Maybe calibre or a plugin has a way to remove the bookmarks without the reboot, don't know that "out of my head" or how to say.. but it is unbelievable that again there is a firmware with bugs.. in the past I let my children play with programs I made in Amber and Cobol.. they find bugs I would never had find... I think most stable firmware is 3.3.1. , I only find it such a pity for GeoffR, if Kobo comes back with 3.8.1 he has to start all over again with making patches...

Installed on my Mini - so far so good.

There's one more new thing since 3.5 (at least at Mini) - redesigned screensaver:
- info about % of read book was moved;
- info about time to the end was added.
