So is it a capacitive touchscreen or infrared? I absolutely love everything about my Aura HD...except the touchscreen.

Apparently it's an infrared but with multi touch.

I just love the idea of reading in the bath and taking it to the beach and not having to worry about it. I can sit in the surf and read. Bliss.

It sounds great, but I wish it had page turn buttons (rubber sealed). I don't look forward to having to wipe the screen dry after every page turn with wet fingers.

I could take it into the bathroom to read while I am occupied. Currently I don't dare take my Aura HD in there, just in case. I keep a child size chair conveniently positioned to rest an ereader on, which is generally a safe place, but still won't take a chance there with my HD. So the Aura H20 would take away that concern! Now if only that money tree would start bearing fruit!

I have an Aura that I love but I've always looked at the HD I'm just glad now i never got one. I can have the H20 instead. And when hubby looks at me and says 'you need another ereader?' I have a perfectly good reason for wanting it ![]() |

Feature wise, it's not on par with the Onyx t68, which has Android and audio. But the t68 screen does not look as good as the aura hd, and the h2o screen is supposed to look slightly better still, slightly whiter background and blacker text. I'm glad they've gone back to the recessed design. I think the flush screen compromised clarity. The aura is also more compact. Unfortunately, I read a lot of complaints about the software in the kobo group.
Anyway, kudos to kobo for still trying to compete, unlike some other bookseller I won't name. |

I have four actively used ereaders, and a fifth languishing in a drawer, I did tell hubby I'd sell the Aura and my PW1 but time will tell.

I guess I'm the only member at Mobileread who would rather take a shower [as opposed to a bath], make a salad, answer the phone, and read - all at the same time. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
