From my perspective I can't buy books because of publisher restrictions in the countries where the codes work. I've used 1 x 75% code and that's it for me.

So, is that about the same for everyone? That is they can't buy the books they want because the codes don't work on the books they want?

Yeah, pretty much so. But at least I'm still able to use the codes (by traveling) on a few self-published books. I seriously don't like publisher restrictions.

I have plenty of unread books, and the books that I'm specifically waiting to get (that should be couponable) haven't shown up at Kobo, yet. I used three codes (Thanks!) and can't think of another book I really want right now. And none of the codes I've gotten from the contest exceed 25%, so I do really appreciate this thread!

Thankfully I purchased all the books I wanted when coupons worked everywhere. My problem now will be how to get future new releases at a discount. It looks like my only choice will be to once again buy them on Amazon, as I'm almost certain that with publisher's restrictions (and the inability to travel), Amazon's prices will be lower than Kobo's.

I might make use of one coupon this week, to buy one book.

Frankly, I'm not one of those people who MUST buy books, RIGHT NOW. I have a large enough tbr pile that I'm never short on reading material. And I really like to re-read books I've enjoyed in the past.

Yes, it would be nice if the big publishers would let me use a code to discount their overpriced books.

I play the contest for the very miniscule chance to win a new ereader.

I have been lucky in that there have been several books I could use them on...but unlucky because I keep getting "oops your charge didn't go through..." messages. The result is I get charged (paypal or credit card) anyways but don't receive a book. Customer service has been good on this but the conversations have degenerated to "we refunded that yesterday?...no, that was a different book". I can buy in cash (gift card) if I want to use rupees...but 20rs doesn't go very far.
