Kobo has released the specs info for the H2O. Here's a link to the News thread where it's posted.

I hope kobo lets you turn off the huge header and footer now. Doesn't look like it though. |

I haven't found any info yet on when it's due to be released in Aus, nor the AUD price.
Anyone seen it? |

I'm sure they will get round to it eventually. They are pretty extensive with their reviews and comparisons.

You can already do that. It does require adding a line to the Kobo file in the reader while it's connected to the PC but it's pretty basic to do.

the resolution of Aura HD is 1440 X 1080, the resolution of Aura H2O is: 1430 X 1080. But the DPI is the same (265), does it mean Aura H2O has a smaller screen size?!

booklover6 starts thread about new Kobo device.
tn4paul45 mentions B&N is rebranding a Samsung (Android) tablet Quote:
![]() ![]() me: links to B&N tablet, Nook Glowlight (very new in the UK but not in the US), very limited Kobo details. Quote:
![]() ![]() ![]() Too right. ![]() Back to the discussion about the Kobo H2O: The H2O has a 6.8" Pearl E Ink Screen, 265 dpi, 1440 x 1080 The Aura HD has a 6.8” Carta E Ink screen, 265 dpi, 1430 x 1080 Is there likely to be a significant difference in readability between the Aura HD and the H2O? There are a few links here with Kindle examples: http://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comme...hite_2_and_an/ From what I can make out there will be a minimal increase in contrast but nothing else particularly significant? The specs page for the H2O ( http://www.kobo.com/koboaurah2o#techspecs ) also intriguingly mentions " multi-touchscreen" - is that at all significant? |

Due to the Wikipedia:
In computing, multi-touch refers to the ability of a surface (a trackpad or touchscreen) to recognize the presence of more than one or more than two[3] points of contact with the surface. This plural-point awareness is often used to implement advanced functionality such as pinch to zoom or to activate certain subroutines attached to predefined gestures. If the screen size is the same, then Aura H2O has 10,800 pixels lesser than Aura HD. After all the most important thing is the E ink screen quality.
