Granted, butr after causing your next three adversary's heads to explode, you beging to re-think it and become crotchety and conservative. I wish that the next Dr Who ewould be some gorgeous babe, whose gender is in question, who makes us all wnder about our own proclivities. |

You do watch religiously. However, religion is losing attendance throughout Europe and the Federal Communications Commission in the US invokes the Fairness Doctrine (again) forcing equal time provisions requiring a secular show to balance the impact of the new llama centric Dr Who. The new show. "Planet Head and His Guitar, Live from Chi" is a national hit and becomes must watch TV for the anti-llama set. PH is offered a staring role in a new feature film (he also performs the theme song), presides at many ribbon cutting events to open new web sites and shopping centers, and hosts a massive city wide BBQ cook-off with Barney until it about one-half way through the event it is discovered that Barney is the secret ingredient in many of the BBQs offered. In a rapid turn of fortune, PH goes from being the goat (as many blamed him for Barney's demise) to national hero for ending the reign of terror so many children felt from that purple monster (and bad lounge singer.)

Why? You have actually watched Doctor Who before, right? BTW, I was browsing around on Amazon last night and found that many of the original episodes are now out on DVD even here in the backwoods USA. I've assembled a list of favorites and forwarded them to relatives who seem to feel the urge to spend money on me during the holiday season. I didn't go for any of the "reconstructed" episodes with bits of animation filling in gaps, but I admit I do find the idea intriguing....

The 2nd Doctor was equally old and unpleasant, but he introduced the most important plotlines, Cybermen and Daleks.
