Yes - you have to keep it for two more months at $9.99 per month --> details

I used that recent $10 Audible credit today while I still have my temporary membership (took the 3 months for $1.95 each promo from a few months ago). I picked up 4 titles and have a whole 17 cents left!

Still have the 3 credits left, though. How often do they do the BOGO sales such as the one that's on today? I only saw one title I wanted in it, so I passed.

I figure I'm paying $6.67 for each of three credits... (1 month free + 2 @ $9.99 each) so I'll hang on 'til the three months is up, and then when I run out of books to read (which is difficult when you can't see the end of your TBR pile!)... maybe I'll come back.

Me too; three months for three credits, then out. Unless in the meantime I buy a tablet or a new phone that would allow me to access the KU books with narration--my current phone uses an old version of Android that won't work for narration. That was the feature of KU that most appealed to me, so it's a big disappointment.

So far, my cap for Audible is $1.95 per credit. Next month, I'm cancelling my membership (3-mo $1.95 promo). I do the credit offers to collect the Dune series. After this round, I'll have one more to get.

Are your sure you want to cancel your Kindle Unlimited subscription? At the end of the monthly billing period, your borrowed Kindle Unlimited books will be removed from your device.

I'm cancelling my KU trial tomorrow. In the mean time, I plan to borrow and download various combos of ebooks and audiobooks. I'll then report what happens to them after I cancel.

If anyone has a particular scenario they want me to try, let me know.

Last Black Friday, I bought a new Fire HD7 for $100. It's my go to device for audiobooks, music, and videos when I'm home. Great display and very loud, undistorted speakers. With the HD, I'd don't need to hook up auxiliary speakers.

New Fires should drop in the next month or two; after that, Black Friday pops up. That means great deals on the current gen Fires as they make room for the new models. Consider getting one then.

I would like to know if the Whispersync for Voice price disappears from Audible when you return the corresponding KU ebook.

I'm thinking Android, with a memory card slot. I'm leaning toward just getting an unlocked smart phone. I like the one I have now, but it's incompatible with so many apps that it's getting annoying.

You lose the Whispersync pricing once you return the KU book. I've already verified that by borrowing two books with narration and then returning them. To buy at WfV prices, you have to buy the audiobook while you have the KU title checked out.

Another thing; once you return the ebook, the corresponding "with narration" audiobook is also returned and disappears from your Audible library.
