Time for an afternoon tea... Twinings Prince of Wales. Thought I'd go slumming.

I'm surprised I don't need it more often, with the places I usually buy foods. Especially street foods here in S.E. Asia. I even use the 'Three-second Rule' when I drop ice cream! Oddly enough, I've never taken a hit from even the most out of the way food vendors on dirty back streets in Laos or Cambodia. Most often, I get nailed in the better hotel restaurants around the Pacific Rim. The ONLY time I actually had real 'food poisoning' (as opposed to DelhiBelly,) was from what was at the time the only Michelin 5-star rated hotel in Thailand. 15-20 of us had to be hospitalized! That was 20 years ago, and never a serious problem that Immodium couldn't handle since!

I don't follow any rule when it comes to ice cream... let it be.

through much of my jr. and sr. high years one of Dad's clients was a specialist in quite a few different faunas (as well as the fractals (? do I remember that correctly?). anyway we would take up to 3 month expeditions into Mexico and Central America sourcing his particular hangup. we usually stayed in places that were barely above a hovel. one time that we surfaced to wash clothes and get food we stayed in a REALLY nice hotel. I got it BAD!!!! yo the point that I ended up literally sleeping on the bathroom floor for 3 days because it was THAT bad!

All exits! no one waiting!

and I was more or less assured that they would come back for me whenn they left me. I was sixteen ;o(

I finally broke down and bought myself a Breville One Touch tea maker. I am a very happy camper. Very happy camper. Love my tea machine.

Too bad it is too expensive to have one at home and the office. I did make myself a pot to put in a thermos and take to work today. Two cups of Genmaicha yumminess. Now I am using the programmable tea kettle for the rest of the day.

Early it was Peet's Pride of the Port Blend tea, but now I've switched to Lion Mountain Keemun. AND, I have my work location sorted to be able to do good tea any time.

Good morning, everyone! Today marks the 'Ides of August,' a good day to get really important work done. My job today is to buy cat food. I think I'm up to the task, but just to be sure I'm drinking my unbranded Keemun tea, and I'll eat an extra egg at breakfast. That should do the trick!
