two questions
after I turn on light on Aura HD, I found on the top. it is a bit yellow screen ,but middle and bottom are fine(more white alike). is this normal? when I turn off light, eveything is fine. didn't notice anything
another thing is when i click syncing, it keeps on syncing and never stop, I have to click cancel manually. is this right? I remember in Glo, when they finished sync, sync process stopped. Last edited by Smartie; 08-06-2014 at 10:12 PM. |

Every once in a while I will encounter a WiFi sync that will freeze up or appear to just go on forever. This has happened on all my Kobo readers, so it's not specific to any one reader. It is a rare occurrence though.
Why it happens I don't know. I presume the connection gets interrupted... |

But I happily read on my older Glo that I never let sync so I can keep a firmware with the least bugs and annoyances for myself. |

Can you try to sync at a different time of day to see if the behaviour is different? |

I'm going either with a bug or the Kobo servers are busy, since I have zero problems connecting anything else to my home wi-fi. But you would think they could stop it after 2 minutes with a message to try again later if the servers are busy instead of just constantly spinning the sync wheel and draining the battery.

I'm thinking it's both. I agree that it could be Kobo's servers are busy with too many requests, but they could also implement a timeout feature when syncing. If no data is being sent to the device for a set period of time, it should automatically stop and give an error message.

I doubt it's server issue because this never happened for my glo except they access different server which I doubt
