Short of sending the Kindle back to Amazon.es, (which I just know will be a hassle because I haven't got the original packaging), I reckon I can live with the following solution:-
When I'm in the mood to read Spanish books I change the Kindle language to Spanish and after a short pause off I go without any further problems! Look-up, either using the monolingual Spanish or the bilingual Spanish-English, whichever I set to default. When I want to read in 'the mother tongue' I change the device to English. Problem solved. May I once again thank you for all your very patient help. Ray |
