I do! I do! And it's almost time for a glass. Today I felt like a little kid standing outside the candy shop, peering in through the window without any pennies in my pocket. This evening I've been looking at the equipment catalogs, pricing right-handed jackets, right-handed gloves and lamés. I can just buy a couple of right-handed grips for my weapons. No need to get all new ones. And my breeches are ambidextrous.
Through my club I can order directly from the manufacturer in China, and get re-outfitted for under $150. Buying from the various retailers would set me back about $350. I think this is going to have to happen...

Home now with an afternoon mug of PG Tips tea!

Are you a lefty?! So's my mom.

I tend to read something while eating dinner (as a single). Often, I do Sudoku puzzles. Lately, I've been doing them with my left hand, while I eat with my right hand. My left has gotten decently proficient at writing numbers; I'm at least as good as a first grader! Writing with the off hand seems like a useful skill, Just In Case.

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be

Good morning, everyone! First Sunday in August... Old Chris Columbus set sail today back in 1492, with the Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria, and the Santa Inez, opening up new territories for McDonalds franchises... or, at least, it looks that way. I'm drinking my newest Ceylon tea from Helladive this morning, getting ready to play 'Breakfast Chef.' I think this is going to be a very relaxing Sunday! We'll take a stroll into town, and peruse the 'Sunday Walking Street Market,' see if we can find something we just can't live without! They close off the main street in The Old City from 3pm-11pm every weekend, and there are vendors selling everything you can imagine and lots that you can't! Great place to 'graze' a walking street-food dinner!

At this point, I have just about enough co-ordination in my right hand to wave 'hello' to someone. Anything requiring more dexterity (pun intended) must be done left handed. Although lefties make up about 10% of the world's population, among ex-pats that figure rises to almost 25%! Of course, it also rises among patients in mental hospitals too...

Sure, but in Sudoku it's just single digit numbers, right? How does your left hand manage on, say, 25?

Finishing off a Coke Zero that I picked up while waiting at the station for my wife's train.

A lager shandy after a long day mowing the lawn, doing some laundry, putting new sealant strips into the shower and cleaning the conservatory roof (including the ladder falling, with me on it, into the bushes). I think I deserve it .

Not too badly. I date each one, so I can see how long I've used the book (and so I remember what date it is today. I write "Su 8/3" or "Sa 7/26". But it's true that the single digits are neater!

Listen, children, to a story
That was written long ago
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley-folk below

On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath the stone
And the valley-people swore
They'd have it for their very own

Go ahead and hate your neighbor
Go ahead and cheat a friend
Do it in the name of heaven
You can justify it in the end
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgment day
On the bloody morning after
One tin soldier rides away

Good morning, everyone! This morning we mourn the loss of lives at a UN-run Gaza school yesterday, and feel sorrow knowing that there must be more to come. Today I raise my cup of unbranded Keemun tea to the IDF, for having the courage to do what they feel needs to be done, despite the condemnation from outside its borders.

(Note: This is NOT to be viewed as a political statement. It is simply a toast honoring people for being true to their beliefs, not a subject for debate.)

Good morning. A glass of fresh squeezed orange juice here, to go with the sockeye salmon I finished smoking yesterday. Looks like it's going to be a good year for salmon.

Ah, but by the time we get to the salmon, they have no future.

That being said, obviously I was referring to my access to fresh, wild salmon. And, of course, what I do with it. I've been working on this smoked salmon recipe for several years, and I'm quite pleased with it.

Diet coke.
