Yep, the ghosting is an issue.
And if you set the refesh rate of the screen to any value higher than 1.
  • first page after a full refresh the characters are crisp and clear
On next page(s):
  • the characters are rendered slighty bolder than on the first page and look less sharp.
  • on top af that certain characters (and part of the screen) are rendered even bolder giving it a bolder look, which I would describe as half bold.
  • contain minor ghosting/artifacts of previous pages. I'm not sure what the cause is here, but my guess is that these are left overs of the used antialiasing routines. The character is ereased (the black part) but the gray area of the character of the anti-aliasing routine is not fully removed.
The result is less crispy, clear, and sharp characters. The edges of the characters look slightly blurred.

I notice the above on my Kobo Touch and Glo. However these issues may be less prominent on the Aura HD, and Aura 6" as the use updated Pearl screens.

This is on an Aura 2013. Since I installed 3.5.0 the ghosting on book covers (that's what I set all my epubs to open to) and the home screen (when exiting an eBook) appears to be much worse than on 3.3.0.

I'm very happy with the great improvement of the browser but since I upgrade my Kobo glo to this new 3.5.0 I get a lot of problems with annotations. When I try to select part of a text, the screen is freezing, sometimes the underlining disappears and so on.

Do you have the same kind of problems?

I get a similar problem once after the 3.5.0 upgrade. Seems to be link to a reset of the date/time (it shows a date in 1970 if I remember well).

I restart it and it was fine

This is really surprising. Did this happen recently? For curiosity I checked yesterday which firmware is sent to which devices. Apart from Rakuten, all affiliates that I checked, sent 3.3.0 to all devices except Mini (3.4.1).

Hey, I just discover another bug fix that is part of the 3.5.0:

in annotations the "chapter progress" information is good now (before it was always 0%) - at least for epub ;-)

Wish I could get that to work over here. Even when I try the "manually skip to next chapter at the end of the current chapter" trick, the progress info I see on annotations is always messed up. I currently have three annotations in the book I'm reading, and they all say they're 0% into the same chapter. Both of those assertions are wrong; they're not in the same chapter, and they're not at the 0% mark.
