Well, the trial offer doesn't appear to be only an introductory thing...
You can always wait a month or two for things to shake out. |

PurpleLady - I don't know why Entitle recommends using a different logon/password combination. Apparently, ADE should allow multiple logons, but doesn't. I had a lengthy round of technical support with them when I first joined, but ended up just using my standard login to avoid the problems you indicated.
To this day, Entitle still recommends a unique ID, which only causes problems. Not very user friendly, in my opinion. I've never used a different ID with ADE, only Entitle encourages it. SteveK |

I voted no because I no longer have a Kindle, and I don't read on my tablet or phone. Plus, it will be a long time before I go through everything I want to read that I already own or is available at my library.

PurpleLady - I sent you a message. I've had no problems using my standard Adobe ID rather than the vendor-specific ID recommended by Entitle. No idea why they recommend using a vendor specific ID, as it accomplishes nothing and only complicates your dealings with other vendors or libraries.

I think the best way to figure things like that out is making lists of books you like to read and then look for them on the services. See if you can get a wish to read list long enough to make it worth while.
I have both a Scribd and a KU subscription right now. Scribd has an app for Kindle Fires also, but of course, no way to read on the Paperwhite. If that is a deal breaker alone for you, then there really is only one option, KU. I am reading Scribd on my Nexus and I was one of those people that thought I could never read on a tablet. My Fires are older, so maybe its the resolution, I don't know, but I find it quite nice reading on it. Scribd has some nice big publishers, Open Road, Kensington, HarperCollins, Simon and Schuster, Diversion books, Sourcebooks. You can browse the full catalog without signing up and drill down to genres to see if what you like to read is there. KU also as Open Road titles, I see Kensington also. Also noticed Sourcebooks. They also have all the Amazon publishing houses of course and I found some nice titles with them. You can go to kindle unlimited and see all and then type in the publishers to see what is offered. Browse through the genres of the sites and just add stuff to wishlists if you see something you like. Its not like there is any hurry, take a few days and then you have an idea which will be better for you, if any. Since KU has mostly self publishers right now I have found some nice Amazon publishing titles I want to read and a few others. I found that SP's don't publish a lot of stuff in the genres I like to read, (Full novel size romance, historical romance, historical mystery, sci fi romance, etc). So most of them I either already read, or got as a freebie or added to my wishlist. I have about 50 now in my KU wishlist and so that should cover me for 4 months. I'll make a decision about it then and maybe they'll get some publishers. |

I want to have the ebooks I'm interested in.
I've never rented books via Nook or Kindle (Prime). Only exception: I would rent newsmagazines. I wouldn't re-read them, I wouldn't collect them. So reading them once would be okay. But for eBooks, I don't have the need. |
