Maybe it's a model-specific issue. The serial number of my PW2 starts with 90D4.

@rupor: What are the first 4 characters of the serial number of your PW2?

@Doitsu: It's as model-specific as the rest of the JB, and always in sync, so, probably not (plus, that's the most common PW2 variant). When was your device last jailbroken, and with which (exact, if possible) version of the JB?

It was only once jailbroken about 6 weeks ago using the latest PW2 JB version available at the time (kindle-5.4-jailbreak.zip).
(The date of the files in the folder is 04/11/2014.)

BTW, I can live without the JB; I installed a couple of kindlets, but hardly used them. The feature I'm going to miss the most is the font override, but this is only a cosmetic thing that doesn't affect the functionality.

EDIT: After downgrading to 5.4.3.2, I was able to re-install the jailbreak, which survived a subsequent 5.4.5 update.

I have a PW2 3G bought in US shipped to US first 4 of the serial number are 9062, "Update Your Kindle" is grayed out...

Just wanted to confirm. I updated JBroken Kindle(previous fw) to 5.4.5. Only had to install Mobileread Kindlet Kit and screensaver Hack to have them working again. As well as Kual.
