Sometimes, when I'm downloading a book while browsing for more books, my Glo freezes and either I have to wait for it to restart itself (aroung 10-15 mins) or I use a toothpick and poke the reset button. It seems that it happens just right before the book finishes downloading and I press something else. The same goes for downloading previews. This has happened more than twice.

It seems to me that 3.3.0 was more stable and better suited for my Aura HD. with 3.5.0 i have some lags with ebook opening , it seems slower. I have some touch screen responsive issues with new fw. also frequent double page jump when turning a page. None of these happened with 3.3.0.

I don't know how forster01 did it, but I got it on mine by switching my devices affiliate to BestBuyCA. You can also sideload it by downloading from the Firmware thread.

Regretfully, I've had to downgrade from 3.5 to 3.2. 3.5 has some severe performance problems when it comes to PDFs. My Shadowrun 5th Ed Street Grimoire PDF is practically unusable in 3.5. In 3.2 it works fine. (I went 3.2 instead of 3.3 because the web browser works better.) |

I'm in the same boat as others with the desktop (3.8.0) not triggering an update for the reader. I can understand that there may not be an update flagged for my Touch (which is on 3.3.0), but my Aura HD (bought here in Australia) doesn't see anything beyond 3.3 either. | |

I am on 3.3.1. with the latest patch for full screen and things like that and it takes a lot of people a lot of work helping me to made the patch ( like the page xx of xx only in Amasis ) and I have been out for a long while... is there any advantage in upgrading to 3.5.0. and is there a patch for the old items, such as don't upgrade automatically, and fill the whole page and no footers or headers.. are all this patches integrated now on 3.5.0. or do I again have to patch it,get some libnickel file out of the upgrade etc etc.. I lost some links, and with 3.3.1 you have to find the patcher somewhere else... I don't use the kepub format but does the 3.5.0 also needed to be patched and then where to find it, and then I have to ask people again to help me with my kpg.conf file and I don't want to bother people all the time.. I am on a Aura HD and try to find all reading this topic to gather information about the changes in 3.5.0 compared to a patched 3.3.1 but the information is a bit fragmented... and I do have to do a litttle dance somewhere in between I personally don't mind the fact that the light wents off after a sleep, just put it on again... if it are only this little changes I leave it on 3.1.1 because I am afraid some people now already play hide and seek ( joke, I have been helped always very correctly on this forum.. ) |

@Nick, You should find everything you need in this thread, no need to go searching. Applying the patches has been simplified somewhat but the method has changed quite a lot so you'll need to read post #1 of the linked thread and look inside the .patch files (previously .conf files) for helpful comments. |
