Today's Kindle Daily Deal (US) is a good one. The six current books in Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series are $1.99 each. More Urban Fantasy than Romance, but I know there are fans here.

Thanks for posting, AnemicOak! Several of us on this thread love this series. I think I mentioned it before but book 1 is only ok. The rest of the series is excellent though. That being said, you shouldn't really skip books or read out of order. Just keep in mind that the first book isn't representative of what follows.

I recommend the audiobook versions as well. The narrator gives great performances.

I am in love with a vampire. Now I never thought that would happen but I just melt with some of the things Bones says. This has to be one of my favorite vampire series I've read. Even though it's labeled Urban Fantasy it's borders on Paranormal Romance.

I haven't bought any books this week had to buy more house stuff. I remember when on Prime you could buy anything now you have to buy in bulk if you need something and it's not cheap.

Thanks for the post. I have read only 2 Karen Robards.....Shameless and Hunters Moon....loved them both. I will get Green Eyes now.

It wasn't Hunters Moon, it was One Summer. I never read Hunters Moon.....doesn't look like one that I would like.

Tiger's Eye is the best one I have read by her. While I'm not sure her thrillers would appeal to me I love her historicals. Green eyes is on my TBR I waited forever for it to be released. I paid full price for it but I have no problems with that. Her writing is just awesome and from what I can she does not revised her books like some authors so you get the original.

Now I must get back to my book as Bones is calling me.

I really need to read Linda Howard. First Loosheesh recommended them, and now you. I do have 1 or 2 of hers, now to move them up my TBR pile. And I also have had The Story Guy by Mary Ann Rivers since it came out. Need to move that up too!


Thanks to coupon fairies and finally getting ONE 75% code on my last day of playing the KC, I was bad this past week and bought 31 books for $36. [these were all books I did NOT buy last contest so...it all works out, right?! ] I've been under budget 5 weeks of last 7 so I really am cutting down. I think reading mostly my auto-buy authors for the past few weeks has helped.

I just finished Thrive, the newest book in the Addicted series by Krista and Becca Ritchie and absolutely loved it, another 5 star. I honestly can't remember the last 5 star read I had!?! Such a good feeling when a book you've been highly anticipating goes beyond your expectations.

Open Season is my very favorite Linda Howard. I don't think anyone can make suspense humorous the way Howard does. The suspense in this particular book is really in the background to characters and their relationship. I also gave The Story Guy 4.5 stars which is pretty darn high for a novella on my stingy rating system.
