				Calibre profile for kobo readers

Hello... I just have a question. I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but it is related to kobo. And I can't seem to find answers here. When setting up Calibre, it'll ask you what kind of device you have. Of course, having a Glo, I chose the Kobo reader option. This has bothered me before, but I just have never gotten to asking about it. In the Kobo profile in Calibre, it is only set to less than the resolution of my Glo. Does this have an effect to anything I do with my Glo? If it does have an effect, can you change the resolution in Calibre? I'm just curious. But I never notice anything out of place in my Glo before. Anyway, thanks to whoever will answer my question!!! |

Don't choose the Kobo Reader profile, that is for the old (pre-Touch) low resolution devices. Choose the Tablet profile instead, that will work okay with any device. |

As GeoffR said, use the Tablet profile. That doesn't resize the images in the books. If you use a device specific profile, it will probably reduce the resolution of the images which means they will look worse if you bigger, higher resolution device.

It only affects the size of the images.

It affects all images. If the image is larger than the size the profile set, it gets reduced in size.
